Job summary

Fastly is seeking a Threat Detection Analyst for the APAC region who will monitor and analyze customer activity with a strong focus on security threats at the application layer. You will work on scalable edge-cloud security solutions, including WAF administration and response to bot attacks and account-takeover events.

The role requires experience in SOC operations, familiarity with SaaS/hybrid deployments, and scripting ability across languages.

Qualifications

• SOC environment experience required.
• Experience with SaaS/cloud or hybrid deployments.
• Experience with web servers (Apache/Nginx/IIS) and app servers.
• Scripting ability in Python, Java, Go, Rust, PHP, Unix/Linux Shell, C#.
• Strong information security background.
• Fluent English (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze customer activity with emphasis on security functions.
• Identify account takeover and bot attacks; manage WAF administration.
• Focus on application-layer security and web technologies.
• Work on scalable distributed systems and collaborate with security/ops teams.
• Create and review security reports for customers and internal stakeholders.
