Job summary

Brightwater Care seeks a reliable Therapy Assistant for our brain rehabilitation service in East Victoria Park, WA. This is a permanent full-time role, Monday to Friday, 8am–4pm, within our disability services team.

The position offers salary packaging, BrightwaterPlus discounts, extensive learning and development, and free on-site parking. A Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance (or progress toward) and a C class licence with a police clearance and NDIS clearance are required.

Responsibilities

• Complete documentation and reporting to support disability service standards and compliance.

An opportunity is available for a reliable and motivated Therapy Assistant at our brain rehabilitation service in East Victoria Park, Oats Street, as part of our dedicated disability services team. This is a permanent full time opportunity, working insert details of working Monday to Friday, 8am – 4pm.

To be suitable for this role, you must possess:

• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with people from diverse backgrounds and experiences
• The ability to prioritise your workload, problem solve, and work safely and efficiently under pressure without direct supervision
• A positive, proactive and a client-focused approach
• A Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance (or progress towards), or significant experience in a related setting and a willingness to undertake training
• A ‘C’ class drivers licence and own a reliable car

• A satisfactory National Police Clearance that is less than 12 months old

• A Valid NDIS clearance

Therapy Assistants work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to actively promote choice, control and quality of life for our clients.

Responsibilities include:

• Ensuring the holistic needs of our clients are met in accordance with their Care Plan by facilitating a variety of therapeutic and recreational programs
• Contributing to the development of innovative therapy programs to improve the wellbeing of our clients
• Supporting volunteers to enhance the site therapy program
• Contributing to site reporting, disability service standards and legislative compliance by completing all documentation and reporting incidents
