Job summary

Marathon Health in Dubbo, NSW is seeking a Therapist to deliver the Multi-Systemic Therapy for Child Abuse and Neglect (MST-CAN) program in a home-based setting. You will work with families to keep children aged 0–17 safely at home and partner with a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires clinical expertise, risk assessment experience, and the ability to engage diverse families. A Driver Licence and willingness to travel are essential; car allowance options are available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related discipline.
• Strong experience in risk assessment and safety management.
• Ability to engage with diverse families and communities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver MST‑CAN in home-based settings for families.
• Assess risks and maintain safety for clients and staff.
• Maintain detailed, accurate case records.
• Travel to client homes as required.

What We’re Looking For

We’re searching for someone who brings bothclinical expertiseandhuman connectionto the table. The ideal candidate will have:

ABachelor’s or Master’s degreein Psychology, Social Work, or a related discipline(we’re open to discussion if you bring equivalent experience and passion)

Strong experience in risk assessment, with a clear understanding of how to manage safety for clients, colleagues, and yourself

The ability tocommunicate and engage effectivelywith individuals and families from diverse cultural and social backgrounds

Confidence usingclinical software systemsand the ability to maintaindetailed, accurate case records

Aflexible approach to working hours, including participation in a rotatingafter-hours and weekend on‑call roster, to meet the needs of families and the MST‑CAN model

Acurrent Australian Driver Licenceand the ability to travel for work purposes (car allowance options available)
