Job summary

Life Without Barriers is a national charity dedicated to creating safe, supportive environments for children and young people to thrive. We work closely with families, carers and communities to help shape brighter futures.

Join us as a Therapeutic Youth Worker in Dubbo. You will support children and young people aged 12–17 who’ve experienced trauma or neglect in residential homes operating 24/7, with a roster including afternoons, sleepovers and weekends.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Community Services or related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience supporting Children, Young People and/or People with disability.
• Current Provide First Aid (HLTAID011) certificate.
• Current driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Provide therapeutic support to children and young people aged 12–17 in residential settings.
• Assist with rosters including afternoon shifts, sleepovers and weekend work.
• Support safe, nurturing environments in 24/7 residential homes.
