Job summary

Medacs Healthcare is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Theatre for a short-term contract in Hervey Bay, Queensland. You will join a supportive perioperative team, providing care across theatre, recovery, anaesthetics and endoscopy.

The contract runs 05/10/2026 to 01/11/2026 (4 weeks). Applicants must hold current AHPRA registration and have theatre nursing experience, with competency in Scrub/Scout and strong teamwork and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Recent Theatre nursing experience.
• Competency in Scrub/Scout.
• Recovery nursing experience.
• Endoscopy experience.
• Anaesthetic nursing skills.
• Strong clinical assessment and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Full Australian working rights.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care across a range of theatre environments.
• Work confidently across theatre, recovery, anaesthetics and endoscopy.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and care standards.
• Support perioperative services to maintain efficient theatre flow.
