Job summary
Medacs Healthcare is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Theatre for a short-term contract in Hervey Bay, Queensland. You will join a supportive perioperative team, providing care across theatre, recovery, anaesthetics and endoscopy.
The contract runs 05/10/2026 to 01/11/2026 (4 weeks). Applicants must hold current AHPRA registration and have theatre nursing experience, with competency in Scrub/Scout and strong teamwork and communication skills.
Qualifications
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
- Recent Theatre nursing experience.
- Competency in Scrub/Scout.
- Recovery nursing experience.
- Endoscopy experience.
- Anaesthetic nursing skills.
- Strong clinical assessment and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Full Australian working rights.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care across a range of theatre environments.
- Work confidently across theatre, recovery, anaesthetics and endoscopy.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and care standards.
- Support perioperative services to maintain efficient theatre flow.
