Job summary

ZIMMERMANN is seeking a creative Textile Designer to join our Design team in Sydney. Lead artwork design and development from concept to bulk, shaping prints and textiles that define the Zimmermann aesthetic across collections.

You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams, translate creative vision into executed textiles, and thrive in a fast-paced studio environment. This permanent role emphasizes collaboration, versatility, and a strong eye for detail.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate outstanding creative instincts with colour, texture and patterns.
• Strong design and communication skills.
• Experience with textile artwork development from concept to bulk.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Creative Director and design team on seasonal concepts.
• Research ideas and contribute to key textile design elements per season.
• Create original artworks for seasonal collections under direction.
• Ensure artworks comply with originality and IP rules.
• Prepare artwork technically including repeats and colour separations.
• Complete placement print designs and engineering to pattern markers.
• Grade and nest placement artworks.
• Adhere to seasonal deadlines.
• Maintain organized design room with fabric references and boards.
