Job summary

Coolon LED Lighting, a Victorian advanced electronics manufacturer, seeks an Associate Test Engineer to support testing, verification and validation of LED products in Melbourne. You will collaborate with R&D, Compliance, Quality and Production to define test requirements and generate traceable DVPRs and reports.

You will perform functional, electrical, mechanical, thermal and environmental testing, execute V&V test plans, and contribute to root cause analysis for failures or deviations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in product testing, V&V, or compliance.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Familiarity with EMC, RF, safety standards.
• Experience with LED lighting or electronics manufacturing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist the System & Design Compliance Engineer with testing and reporting activity
• Collaborate with R&D, Compliance, Quality, and Production teams to define test requirements based on customer, regulatory, and internal standards
• Perform functional, electrical, mechanical, thermal, photometric, and environmental testing on new and existing products
• Execute Verification & Validation (V&V) test plans and contribute to root cause analysis for failures or test deviations
• Generate and maintain accurate, traceable test documentation including DVPRs, issue logs, and reports
• Support firmware/hardware release decisions based on test results and green-light criteria
• Assist in the automation and continuous improvement of testing procedures and lab workflows
• Conduct incoming goods checks and in-process quality checks when required
• Support external certification and compliance testing through liaising with external labs and stakeholders
• Contribute to technical training, safety compliance, and lab equipment maintenance
