Job summary

Gaming Laboratories International (GLI) in Adelaide, Australia, is seeking an entry-level Test Engineer to join our global Engineering team. This full-time, in-office role is based at our Adelaide office and involves testing software and hardware in the gaming industry.

You will join a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with a chance to learn, grow, and contribute to projects across regulators, suppliers and operators in numerous jurisdictions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or 4 years equivalent in engineering, science, math or other technical areas strongly preferred.
  • Associate degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or 2+ years of equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Certification or training may be evaluated in lieu of education requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Develop understanding of technical requirements/regulations.
  • Understand client expectations and testing requests.
  • Utilize internal project tracking tools for management.
  • Research and apply special rules or requirements.
  • Develop and execute test methods for technical requirements.
  • Document test results and defects.
  • Manage projects and timelines against budgets.

Gaming Laboratories International (GLI) is seeking an entry level Test Engineer to join our global Engineering team. This is a full time in-office position that will be based out of our Adelaide office.

What You Will Accomplish Here…

Our Test Engineers are part of a global Engineering Delivery department. You will have an opportunity to test software and hardware designs that impact the products and services within the gambling industry.

While experience in this specific role is not required, we are looking for someone with an eagerness to learn and a keen eye for attention to detail, who enjoys working in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.

Duties And Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To
  • Developing an understanding of technical requirements/regulations
  • Developing an understanding of client’s expectations and additional testing requests
  • Learns and properly utilizes various internal tools used for project tracking and management.
  • Researching, identifying and applying any special rules or other requirements
  • Accurately developing and executing test methods for technical and client requirements
  • Effectively documenting test results and discovered defects
  • Managing projects and tasks against budgets and timelines
Communicating And Coordinating With Clients By
  • Developing and maintaining professional relationships with all assigned customers
  • Maintaining an understanding of the customer’s needs and market position
  • Proactively communicating the status of testing with all relevant internal and external parties
Experience, Education, Skills And Credentials
  • Bachelor’s Degree or 4 years equivalent experience in engineering, science, math or other technical areas strongly preferred
  • Associate degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or 2+ years of equivalent experience may be considered
  • Certification, formal training or experience may also be evaluated and considered in lieu of educational requirements
  • Valid Driver’s License required
  • Knowledge of C++ or other modern, object-oriented programming language(s) is required
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is required
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively and professionally speak orally and in writing with both internal and external parties
  • Must demonstrate a high degree of attention to quality, details, correctness, and deadlines
  • Must be able to pass a thorough background check
Location:

These are an in-person, full-time positions based out of our Adelaide office.

Schedule:

Normal hours are Monday through Friday, 37.5 hours per week.

Pay:

AUD $37.23 per hour

Travel:

Up to 5% travel may be required, to other Australia office locations or for field work.
