Job summary

Leidos Australia is hiring a Test Engineer to join our Federal Government program across complex mission systems. You will translate requirements into test strategies, develop plans and cases, run tests and assess results, while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver reliable outcomes.

Security clearance and Australian citizenship are expected. The role emphasizes verification and validation, test artefact maintenance, and exposure to enterprise ICT environments, including SOE,

Qualifications

• Qualification in IT, Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience in verification and validation, systems testing, or quality assurance roles.
• Experience developing and maintaining test artefacts aligned to requirements and standards.
• Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g. ALM, Jira, Confluence).
• Understanding of systems engineering principles and V&V practices.
• Experience testing enterprise ICT environments, with exposure to SOE, infrastructure, applications and test automation.

Responsibilities

• Synthesize customer requirements into test solutions, balancing technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
• Review and evaluate testability of requirements.
• Develop and execute test plans, cases, and procedures for various testing stages.
• Analyze test results, manage defects, and prepare detailed test reports.
• Collaborate with teams to solve problems and ensure successful outcomes.
