Job summary

Showtime Consulting is seeking an experienced Test Engineer to support a PostgreSQL-based platform for a National Security customer environment. The role is hands-on testing across functional, performance, security and operational requirements throughout build and deployment lifecycles.

You will develop test strategies, plans and cases, executing system, integration, operational and user acceptance testing while collaborating with architects, engineers and stakeholders to validate outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience in infrastructure, platform or systems testing.
• Experience testing database and enterprise platform solutions.
• Experience developing test strategies, plans and detailed test cases.
• Experience across system, integration, operational and user acceptance testing.
• Understanding of automated testing approaches and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong defect management and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong analytical, documentation and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with engineering teams and technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain test strategies, test plans, test cases and supporting documentation.
• Execute system, integration, operational and user acceptance testing activities.
• Validate functional and operational requirements across the PostgreSQL platform solution.
• Test platform performance, resilience and high-availability requirements.
• Identify, record and manage defects through to resolution.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers and customer stakeholders to validate technical outcomes.
• Support testing activities throughout the build and deployment lifecycle.
• Support implementation readiness and operational acceptance activities.
• Produce clear and accurate test results, evidence and supporting documentation.
