Job summary

Showtime Consulting Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled Test Engineer to support a PostgreSQL-based platform for a National Security customer. You will perform hands-on testing across system, integration, and user acceptance, ensuring performance, security, and operational readiness throughout build and deployment.

You’ll develop test strategies, collaborate with architects and engineers, and contribute to CI/CD practices for secure cloud solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience in infrastructure, platform or systems testing.
• Experience testing database and enterprise platform solutions.
• Experience developing test strategies, test plans and test cases.
• Exposure to system, integration, operational and user acceptance testing.
• Understanding of automated testing approaches and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong defect management and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong analytical, documentation and communication skills.
• Ability to work with engineering teams and technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain test strategies, test plans, test cases and supporting documentation.
• Execute system, integration, operational and user acceptance testing activities.
• Validate functional and operational requirements across the PostgreSQL platform solution.
• Test platform performance, resilience and high-availability requirements.
• Identify, record and manage defects through to resolution.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers and customer stakeholders to validate technical outcomes.
• Support testing activities throughout the build and deployment lifecycle.
• Produce clear and accurate test results, evidence and supporting documentation.
