Job summary

Showtime Consulting in Australia is seeking an experienced Solution Architect to lead the design of a PostgreSQL-based platform for a National Security environment. You will define end-to-end architecture, integration and deployment patterns, ensuring security, availability and long-term sustainment.

Working with DevOps, database specialists and delivery teams, you will establish architectural foundations for implementation and ongoing platform sustainment, leveraging Kubernetes, IaC and GitOps

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience designing enterprise-scale infrastructure, database or platform solutions.
• Strong solution architecture, modelling and technical documentation skills.
• Experience with PostgreSQL environments and modern deployment methodologies.
• Understanding of security, availability, resilience and operational requirements in enterprise environments.
• Experience collaborating with engineering, DevOps, database and customer stakeholders.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop the end-to-end solution architecture for an enterprise PostgreSQL-based platform.
• Produce architecture documentation, solution designs and artefacts.
• Define system integration patterns and deployment models.
• Ensure security, availability, resilience and operational requirements are embedded in the design.
• Support governance reviews and design assurance activities.
• Collaborate with DevOps, database specialists and delivery teams.
• Align architectural designs with customer operational and technical needs.
