Job summary

Babylon Data invites experienced Functional Automation Test Analysts to support a major government digital transformation program in Canberra. You will deliver both manual and automated testing across Dynamics 365 and Power Platform, building UI and API regression tests and integrating them into Azure DevOps pipelines.

The role requires strong testing across UI, API, integration and Dataverse solutions, plus a Baseline security clearance and the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in

Qualifications

• Experience testing Microsoft Dynamics 365 or Power Platform apps, incl. Power Pages, Power Apps or Dataverse.
• Strong experience across UI, functional, integration, system, regression and UAT testing.
• Experience designing, developing and maintaining automated UI test suites using Playwright, Selenium, EasyRepro or similar frameworks.
• API and integration test automation using Postman/Newman, REST API testing or equivalent tools.
• Experience integrating automated tests into Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency with Visual Studio Code, Azure DevOps, source control and defect management.
• Understanding of SDLC and Agile practices.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities within multidisciplinary teams.

Job description

Babylon Data is seeking experienced Functional Automation Test Analysts to support a major government digital transformation program.

The successful candidates will deliver both manual and automated testing across Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform applications. This includes developing UI and API regression tests and integrating automated test suites into Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.

• Initial contract: 12 months
• Extensions: Up to two additional 12-month terms
• Expected commencement: 5 October 2026
• Working arrangements: Hybrid
• Hours: Up to 40 hours per week, generally 8 hours per day
• Security clearance: Current Baseline security clearance required

The Role

You will join an established testing practice supporting an inflight digital portal program focused on improving customer experience, streamlining business processes and enabling more efficient regulatory service delivery.

You will be expected to quickly understand new systems and business processes, manage testing across multiple concurrent projects and become productive within a short onboarding period.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Analysing business and technical requirements

• Developing and maintaining automated UI regression test suites

• Maintaining test evidence, traceability, reporting and quality metrics
• Supporting end-to-end validation of complex business processes
• Working collaboratively with developers, business analysts, product owners and other delivery specialists
• Moving between projects, platforms and testing phases as priorities change

Applicants must demonstrate:

• Experience testing Microsoft Dynamics 365 or Power Platform applications, including Power Pages, Power Apps or Dataverse
• Strong experience across UI, functional, integration, system, regression and user acceptance testing
• Experience designing, developing and maintaining automated UI test suites using Playwright, Selenium, EasyRepro or a comparable framework
• API and integration test automation experience using Postman/Newman, REST Assured, Playwright API testing or similar tools
• Experience testing APIs, backend integrations, authentication flows and Dataverse-based services
• Experience integrating automated tests into Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines for automatic execution during build and release processes
• Proficiency with Visual Studio Code, Azure DevOps, source control, test management, defect management and reporting
• Sound knowledge of the software development lifecycle and Agile delivery practices
• The ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and contribute effectively within multidisciplinary teams
• A current Baseline security clearance
• ISTQB Test Automation Engineer certification or a comparable qualification
• In‑depth testing of Dynamics 365, Dataverse, Power Platform or Power BI solutions
• Testing of server‑side or plugin logic, environment variables, secrets, custom APIs or API Management policies
• Experience using Jira or similar test and defect management platforms
