Services Australia in Canberra, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide is seeking an APS5 Test Analyst to validate system designs and behaviours, ensuring test effort aligns with guidelines. You will work under supervision, provide technical advice to junior testers, and contribute to structured testing across platforms.

Estimated start 1 January 2027 with an initial 12-month contract; onsite for six weeks, then hybrid if feasible within travel constraints.

Qualifikationen

• Acceptance testing (SFIA Level 4): defines acceptance criteria for functional/non-functional requirements, business processes, features and rules; designs and executes tests.
• Methods and tools (SFIA Level 4): advises on adoption of methods/tools, tailors processes to standards, improves usage.
• Testing (SFIA Level 4): selects approaches (manual/automated); develops/executed test plans; builds scalable automated tests/frameworks.
• User experience evaluation (SFIA Level 3): evaluates design options, tests usability, analyzes data and checks standards compliance.
• ISTQB Foundation knowledge and/or government testing experience preferred.
• Experience in government or large-scale organisations preferred.

Aufgaben

• Execute assigned test cases at various testing stages on appropriate platforms.
• Develop test plans, cases, task cards and test data from specifications.
• Analyse and report test activities, elevating issues and risks to senior staff.
• Identify, manage and document defects and operational discrepancies.
• Conduct testing to ensure ICT services meet requirements; create test data in vendor environments.
• Contribute to team improvements, tools, processes and test automation.
• Record time and allocate work to team members by complexity.
• Provide guidance to less experienced testers and ensure compliance with business processes.
• Collaborate with internal/external stakeholders and assist with cost analysis as required.
