Job summary

Harvey Norman's IT Department in Australia is seeking a QA/Test professional to validate system upgrades before deployment. Based at the corporate office, you will support testing activities under the Test Manager and contribute to scalable, reliable IT services across the Harvey Norman network.

You will assist with test planning, case creation, environment setup and defect analysis, while helping build a knowledge base for training and cross-skilling.

Qualifications

• Experience in test planning and execution within an agile SDLC.
• Familiar with test case design, defect tracking and reporting.
• Preference for retail domain exposure and Harvey Norman style processes.

About the role

Harvey Norman's IT Department delivers innovative, strategic technology solutions and critical projects that support both the Australian business and the global Harvey Norman network with scalable, consistent services.

Based at Harvey Norman's Corporate Office and reporting to the Test Manager, you will play a key role in validating planned system upgrades to ensure their effectiveness prior to deployment.

Responsibilities

About you

Previous experience working within a Harvey Norman, Domayne, or Joyce Mayne franchise is preferred for this role. Retail background ensures you have a strong process knowledge in areas such as cash and invoice sales, receipting, stocktaking, and purchase ordering.

You should also have a keen interest in IT and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, agile environment. Experience in the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Testing certifications (ISTQB Foundation or similar) is preferred.
