Job summary

Viva Energy Australia seeks an experienced Terminal Manager to lead the Lara Terminal, reporting to the Asset Manager and supervising seven Shift Supervisors to ensure safe, compliant and efficient operations with strong asset integrity and stakeholder engagement.

You will drive a safety-first culture, lead operational performance improvements, and oversee HSSE compliance, asset management programs and capital projects while building relationships with regulators and local partners.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience leading operational teams within industrial, energy, manufacturing, logistics, terminal or process environments.
• Strong people leadership skills with the ability to coach, develop and inspire others.
• Experience managing terminal operations, asset management programs and capital project delivery.
• Solid understanding of HSSE systems, regulatory compliance and safe work practices.
• Ability to balance business priorities, stakeholder expectations and operational requirements.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with confidence engaging across all levels of an organisation and with external stakeholders.
• Continuous improvement mindset focused on achieving operational excellence and sustainable outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of safe, reliable and efficient terminal operations.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, reliability, productivity and risk management outcomes.
• Ensure operational and maintenance activities are planned and executed to the highest standards.
• Support the development and execution of the site's Asset Integrity Management Plan.
• Lead the implementation of maintenance and capital improvement programs to ensure long-term asset reliability and performance.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including regulators, local government, community representatives and business partners.
