Job summary

Viva Energy Australia seeks a Terminal Manager to champion a safety-first culture while driving operational performance and continuous improvement across the Lara terminal in Victoria, Australia. The role provides leadership across health, safety, security and environmental compliance, asset management, emergency preparedness and workforce capability.

You will lead a team to ensure safe, reliable and efficient terminal operations, manage asset integrity programs and deliver capital projects,

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience leading operational teams within industrial, energy, manufacturing, logistics, terminal or process environments.
• Strong people leadership skills with the ability to coach, develop and inspire others.
• Experience managing terminal operations, asset management programs and capital project delivery.
• A solid understanding of HSSE systems, regulatory compliance and safe work practices.
• Ability to balance business priorities, stakeholder expectations and operational requirements.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with confidence engaging across all levels of an organisation and with external stakeholders.
• Continuous improvement mindset focused on achieving operational excellence and sustainable outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety-first culture while driving terminal performance and continuous improvement.
• Provide leadership across HSSE, asset management, emergency preparedness and workforce capability.
• Foster accountability and an inclusive, high-performing operations team.
• Build and maintain relationships with regulators, local government and business partners.
• Coordinate refinery scheduling interfaces and product availability where applicable.
