Job summary

Viva Energy in Lara, Victoria, is seeking an experienced Terminal Manager to lead seven Shift Supervisors and oversee all terminal operations with a relentless focus on safety, reliability and asset integrity.

Reporting to the Asset Manager, you will champion HSSE compliance, drive continuous improvement and coordinate stakeholder engagement while building a high-performing, safety-driven team at the Lara Terminal.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience leading operational teams within industrial, energy, manufacturing, logistics, terminal or process environments.
• Strong people leadership skills with the ability to coach, develop and inspire others.
• Experience managing terminal operations, asset management programs and capital project delivery.
• Solid understanding of HSSE systems, regulatory compliance and safe work practices.
• The ability to balance business priorities, stakeholder expectations and operational requirements.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with confidence engaging across all levels of an organisation and with external stakeholders.
• A continuous improvement mindset focused on achieving operational excellence and sustainable outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of seven Shift Supervisors and ensure safe, compliant and efficient terminal operations.
• Champion safety-first culture and drive operational performance and continuous improvement.
• Provide leadership across health, safety, security and environmental compliance.
• Coordinate asset integrity management and maintenance programs to ensure long-term reliability.
• Manage relationships with regulators, local government, community representatives and business partners.
• Oversee interfaces related to scheduling, product availability, laboratory and quality functions.
