Job summary

coNXection on the Gold Coast is seeking a Team Leader to oversee its QLD temporary works engineering team. You will coordinate a group across major energy, resources, construction and civil projects, and act as the final technical check and certifying engineer before site delivery.

Applicants should have a Civil or Structural degree, be close to CPEng, with proven temp works design and formwork experience. Revit and AutoCAD 3D are advantageous, and you will coach and mentor engineers while

Qualifications

• CPEng or near to it with a civil or structural degree.
• Proven experience designing and certifying temporary works, with formwork design experience highly regarded.
• Revit and AutoCAD 3D experience would be a strong advantage.
• Experience leading or mentoring technical teams.
• A practical, process-driven approach to delivery.

Responsibilities

• Run the Sydney temporary works design team, setting priorities and managing workload across local and offshore engineers and designers
• Act as the final technical check and certifying engineer on temporary works designs before they go to site - this role is focused on formwork
• Take on the more complex design challenges yourself, from analysis and modelling through to the final engineered solution
• Coach and develop the team, raising technical standards and building the next generation of designers
• Be the senior engineering point of contact for clients and internal teams, turning project needs into safe, build-able solutions
• Keep designs, documentation and sign-off consistent with Australian Standards and the business’s established quality processes

A national temporary works engineering business is looking for a Team Leader to oversee its QLD engineering team. The team designs and certifies temporary works for major energy, resources, construction and civil infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities of the Team Leader

• Run the Sydney temporary works design team, setting priorities and managing workload across local and offshore engineers and designers
• Act as the final technical check and certifying engineer on temporary works designs before they go to site - this role is focused on formwork.
