Job summary

Cage Hire on the Gold Coast is seeking a reliable Temporary Fencing Installer / Labourer to join our hands-on team. You will deliver, install, dismantle and collect temporary fencing at construction sites and events, working outdoors in varying weather with a focus on safety and customer service.

This full-time casual role offers regular overtime, no weekend work, and on-the-job learning. Applicants must have a White Card, a valid driver’s licence, be physically fit to lift 30 kg, and be willing

Qualifications

• Must have current White Card (Construction Induction Card).
• Physically capable of lifting and carrying items weighing at least 30 kg.
• Must have and use all required PPE.
• Reliable, punctual and willing to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Willing to undergo regular drug and alcohol testing as part of safety procedures.
• Previous temporary fencing, construction or general labouring experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Install, dismantle and remove temporary fencing at construction sites and other locations.
• Load, unload, lift and carry fencing panels, posts, concrete feet and related equipment.
• Assist with loading and securing equipment for transport.
• Maintain fencing equipment and keep work areas clean and organized.
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures and safe manual-handling practices.
• Work effectively with team members and provide professional service to customers.
• Assist with general labouring duties as required.

We are currently seeking a reliable, hardworking and physically fit Temporary Fencing Installer / Labourer to join our team on the Gold Coast.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys physical work, working outdoors and being part of a team. The position involves delivering, installing, dismantling and collecting temporary fencing at various sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, dismantle and remove temporary fencing at construction sites and other locations.
• Load, unload, lift and carry fencing panels, posts, concrete feet and associated equipment.
• Assist with loading and securing equipment for transport.
• Maintain fencing equipment and keep work areas clean and organised.
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures and safe manual-handling practices.
• Work effectively with team members and provide professional service to customers.
• Assist with general labouring duties as required.

About You

We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, a positive attitude and a commitment to workplace safety. You should be comfortable with physically demanding work, able to work well with others and willing to learn on the job.

You will need to demonstrate

• Physically fit and capable of safely lifting and carrying items weighing at least 30 kg.
• Current White Card (Construction Induction Card) is essential.
• Current driver's licence and reliable transport to and from work.
• Must have and use all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Reliable, punctual and willing to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Able to follow instructions and work safely as part of a team.
• Willing to undergo regular drug and alcohol testing as part of our workplace safety procedures.
• Previous temporary fencing, construction or general labouring experience is an advantage.

The following are preferred but not essential

• Current forklift licence.
• Current Medium Rigid (MR) truck licence.

This is a full time casual role working Monday to Friday (no weekend work) with regular overtime available.

Christmas Shut-Down Period

Cage Hire will be closed over the Christmas period from 22 December 2026 to 11 January 2027. No routine work will be available during this period, except for occasional on-call make-safe work where the employee has the appropriate training and competency.
