Job summary

Symon Bros Constructions is seeking a reliable Temporary Fence Installer to join our Operations team. The role covers installation, relocation, maintenance and removal of temporary fencing across Victoria, working with supervisors and clients to ensure safety and high standards.

You will be responsible for setting out fencing per plans, loading materials, and maintaining equipment while adhering to safety practices and site procedures.

Responsibilities

• Install, relocate, maintain and remove temporary fencing and components.

• Complete site, vehicle, trailer, tool and equipment pre-start checks.
• Maintain clean, safe work areas.
• Work safely around vehicles and heavy equipment.
• Complete timesheets and required site documentation.
• Report hazards and material shortages.
• Use hand and power tools safely when trained.

Job description

Symon Bros Constructions is looking for a reliable and safety-focused Temporary Fence Installer to join our Operations team.

This is a practical, hands-on position working across construction and infrastructure projects throughout Victoria. You will be responsible for the safe installation, relocation, maintenance and removal of temporary fencing systems while working closely with supervisors, site teams and clients.

What you'll be doing

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Installing, relocating, maintaining and removing temporary fencing, gates, bracing and associated components
• Loading and unloading fencing materials, tools and equipment
• Setting out fencing in accordance with site instructions and basic plans
• Installing panels, bases, clamps, couplers, stays, bracing, gates and accessories
• Checking completed fencing for stability, alignment, security and presentation
• Completing site, vehicle, trailer, tool and equipment pre-start checks
• Maintaining safe and tidy work areas
• Working safely around vehicles, mobile plant, construction activities and members of the public
• Completing timesheets, delivery dockets, pre-starts and required site documentation
• Reporting hazards, damaged equipment, material shortages and changed site conditions
• Using hand and power tools safely where trained and authorised.

You will need

• General Construction Induction Card (White Card)
• Ability to complete required site inductions
• Capacity to safely perform the inherent requirements of the role, with reasonable adjustments where applicable.

Depending on the work you are assigned, you may also require

• Current driver's licence appropriate to the vehicle being operated
• Appropriate high-risk work licence for licensed plant or equipment
• Traffic-management accreditation where performing accredited traffic-management duties.

Experience or qualifications in any of the following would be an advantage:
