Job summary

Workcon Fieldworkers in Caloundra is seeking an experienced Skilled Labourer / Telehandler Operator for a large, long-term commercial construction project.

This role is primarily skilled labouring with telehandler operation required as needed; you will work on-site, assist trades, move materials, and maintain a safe, tidy work area.

Applicants must hold a White Card, a Telehandler ticket, have prior telehandler experience, and reliable transport.

Qualifications

• White Card (Construction Induction Card) is required.
• Telehandler ticket/licence is required.
• Previous telehandler operating experience is essential.
• Strong commercial construction labouring experience is essential.
• Own reliable transport and a valid driver’s licence.
• Physically fit and capable of manual handling.

Responsibilities

• General skilled labouring across a busy commercial construction site.
• Assist trades with day-to-day construction tasks.
• Operate telehandler as required on the project.
• Move, load and position construction materials.
• Site clean-up and manual handling tasks.
• Use basic hand and power tools as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.

This is primarily a skilled labouring role, with telehandler operation required throughout the project as needed. We are looking for someone who is confident working independently on a commercial construction site, can assist trades and has solid previous experience operating a telehandler.

Duties & Responsibilities

• General skilled labouring across a busy commercial construction site
• Assisting trades with day-to-day construction tasks
• Operating a telehandler as required
• Moving, loading and positioning construction materials
• Site clean-up and manual handling
• Using basic hand and power tools where required
• Maintaining a clean and safe work area

What You Need

• White Card (Construction Induction Card)
• Relevant Telehandler ticket/licence
• Previous telehandler operating experience
• Strong commercial construction labouring experience

• Own reliable transport and valid driver's licence
• Physically fit and capable of manual handling
• Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively within a site team

Additional tickets such as Dogman, Hoist, EWP or Forklift are advantageous but not essential.
