Job summary

BAI Communications Pty Ltd in Western Australia is seeking a Telecommunications Technician to install, maintain and troubleshoot radio telecommunications systems for enterprise and resource clients. Based at Osborne Park, you will work with client and engineering teams to ensure reliable communications.

You will install repeaters, mobiles, handheld radios, microwave and LTE infrastructure; perform fault-finding, routine inspections, and documentation; provide training and support; and help adopt

Qualifications

• Experience installing, maintaining, and repairing RF, microwave, LTE and Digital Radio telecom equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting skills to quickly identify and resolve issues.
• Excellent communication and customer service to liaise with clients and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair telecommunication equipment including repeaters, mobiles, handheld radios, microwave and LTE infrastructure
• Perform fault-finding, diagnosis, repair, and routine maintenance of networks
• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on telecom systems
• Program Digital Radios and Repeaters where required
• Document work performed and maintain records of telecom assets
• Provide technical support and training to end-users as needed
• Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to implement new technologies and solutions

LET’S EXPLORE THE ROLE

As a Telecommunications Technician at Bai Australia, you will play a vital role in installing, maintaining and troubleshooting our clients radio telecommunication systems which includes repeaters, mobiles and handheld radios. Based out of our Osborne Park facility this full-time position will see you work closely with our client and engineering teams to ensure reliable and efficient communication services for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Performing installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunication equipment, including repeaters, mobiles, handheld radios, microwave and PVT LTE infrastructure
• Fault-finding, diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of the communications networks.
• Conducting routine inspections and preventative maintenance on telecommunication systems
• Programming Digital Radios and Repeaters.
• Documenting work performed and maintaining detailed records of all telecommunication assets
• Providing technical support and training to end-users as required
• Collaborating with the IT and engineering teams to implement new telecommunication technologies and solutions

LET’S HEAR ABOUT YOU

You are an experienced Telecommunications Technician, who has the ability to build, install and commission mission critical communications systems for our enterprise and resource clientele. As such you will be able to demonstrate the following:

• Demonstrated expertise in the installation, maintenance, and repair of RF, MW, LTE and Digital Radio telecommunications equipment
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues quickly
• Excellent communication and customer service skills to liaise with clients and colleagues
• Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and safety procedures
• A valid driver's license and the ability to travel to client sites as required
• Ability to pass drug and alcohol screens
