Job summary

seek.com.au is seeking a results-driven Program Manager to bolster our telecommunications leadership as we deliver national infrastructure projects across Australia, including Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. You will drive governance, client relationships and commercial outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

You will lead distributed project teams, mentor leaders, manage escalations and promote cross-state collaboration to sustain portfolio growth and innovation.

Responsibilities

• Providing strategic and operational leadership across national telecommunications infrastructure projects, from planning through to execution and close-out.
• Providing strong face-to-face leadership with clients, project teams and suppliers.
• Driving governance across project controls, reporting, data requirements and cost management.
• Project and contract management, ensuring contractual KPIs, quality standards and financial outcomes are achieved.
• Overseeing HSE, commercial and legal compliance across all activities.
• Identify commercial opportunities and develop strategies to expand scope and revenue.
• Strengthening client relationships through proactive risk management and clear technical guidance.
• Mentoring and developing project leaders, ensuring high performance, accountability and engagement.
• Managing escalations and building effective relationships with external stakeholders.
• Promoting cross-state collaboration, innovation and knowledge sharing.

We are looking for a Program Manager to join us and support in the delivery of our projects, with the flexibility to work from any of our main offices including Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.

Key responsibilities:

Providing strategic and operational leadership across national telecommunications infrastructure projects, from planning through to execution and close‑out.

Providing strong face‑to‑face leadership with clients, project teams and suppliers.

Driving governance across project controls, reporting, data requirements and cost management.

Project and contract management, ensuring contractual KPIs, quality standards and financial outcomes are achieved.

Proven experience delivering major back haul fibre projects, with a recognised industry reputation and the ability to cultivate strategic client relationships that support sustained portfolio growth.

Strong stakeholder and client relationship management capability.

Expertise in leading distributed project teams and managing multiple concurrent priorities.

Strong commercial acumen, problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.

Excellent communication, facilitation and mentoring skills.

A proactive, innovative and collaborative leadership style.

Tertiary qualificationsin a relevant field and project management certifications would be highly desirable.
