Job summary

NSW Government is seeking an experienced Program Manager with a strong background in telecommunications and IT infrastructure to lead a major delivery program in Sydney CBD. This contract role runs ASAP through to October 2027, with potential for extension and clear governance expectations.

Reporting to the Director of Program Delivery, you will drive strategy, multi-workstream delivery, risk and commercial controls, and stakeholder engagement with government agencies and vendors, delivering

Qualifications

• 10+ years of senior program management delivering complex, large-scale initiatives.
• Delivery of $100M+ infrastructure programs, ideally in telecommunications or technology.
• Experience leading multi-workstream programs across strategy, planning and delivery.
• Strong governance, commercial management, risk and assurance expertise.

Responsibilities

• Own the Program strategy, roadmap and delivery plan.
• Lead end-to-end delivery across scope, budget, schedule, risk and benefits.
• Prioritise asset replacement based on criticality and risk.
• Lead multiple workstreams across technology, network, sites, operations and transition.
• Drive governance, reporting and commercial controls.
• Manage relationships with government agencies, Emergency Service Organisations, vendors and delivery partners.
• Ensure cutovers, migrations and decommissioning are safely planned and operationally ready.
• Provide strategic advice to senior executives and stakeholders.
• Build a high-performing delivery culture focused on measurable outcomes.
