Programmed Apprenticeships and Traineeships (PAT) in partnership with Santos offers a 24-month paid Telecommunications Traineeship based in the Roma Region. You'll learn on the job, earn an income and complete a nationally recognised qualification, providing a genuine pathway into a long-term career in Australia's energy sector.

Two weeks on, two weeks off roster with mentorship from experienced telecommunications technicians and on‑the‑job support, plus hands-on and online learning.

Qualifications

• Interest in building a long-term career in the energy sector.
• Ability to work an 11-hour day, two week on two week off roster.
• Ability to read and comprehend work instructions, complete written documentation and engage with online learning.
• Current driver's licence, or ability to obtain one before the traineeship begins.

Responsibilities

• Learn on the job under supervision while earning a nationally recognised qualification.
• Install, maintain and repair telecommunications infrastructure as part of a team.
• Follow safety procedures and complete job documentation accurately.
• Engage with mentors and complete hands-on practical work and online learning.
