Job summary

Infinity Group Enterprises Pty Ltd – Sydney CBD NSW is seeking a Telecommunications Technician/Rigger to join our team delivering projects across Australia. You will integrate Ericsson Baseband Unit and Nokia Airscale, terminate DC cables, and install antenna hardware on rooftops and towers.

The role requires rigging at heights, cable terminations, fault troubleshooting, upgrades, and decommissioning of mobile telecom equipment. You must comply with safety procedures and SLA timeframes.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of Telecommunications Technician and Rigging experience on a full-time basis.
• Excellent familiarity with Nokia and Ericsson 3G, 4G, and 5G devices.
• Knowledge of Telstra, Optus and VHA standards.
• Working at heights certified with ability to operate at heights regularly.

Responsibilities

• Know how to Integrate and Commission Ericsson Baseband Unit and Nokia Airscale.
• Know how to Terminate DC cables to Power System Unit.
• Alarm Troubleshooting using PIM tester, Site Master, Distance-to-Fault, Return Loss and Feeder Termination.
• Swap-out, Upgrade and Decommissioning of Mobile Telecommunication Equipment.
• Installation of antenna mounting hardware, steelworks, hangers, feeder trays and transmission equipment on Rooftop, Lattice and Monopole.
• Use of EWP's as required to carry out works on site.
• Working at Heights/Rigging and installation of mobile antenna systems.
• Completing all tasks to a high-quality standard in compliance with Customer
• Maintaining / achieving SLA time frames and providing all necessary updates to the Site Supervisors.
• Ensuring all working at heights activities are performed safely and in accordance with Infinity and client safety procedures.
• Ensuring that OH&S Policy requirements are observed and followed.
