Job summary

Cyient Limited in Sydney, Australia, is seeking an experienced Site Design Engineer to ensure engineering compliance and certification of telecommunications structures. You will collaborate with structural engineers and consultants to deliver safe, compliant designs for new and existing sites.

The role requires strong stakeholder management, site inspections, risk mitigation, and clear reporting. You will integrate design inputs across disciplines and align with PM and Safety plans while

Qualifications

• Experience designing telecom site structures to meet Australian standards.
• Ability to coordinate with structural engineers and consultants.
• Strong reporting and client liaison skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure engineering compliance of designs against Australian and Client Standards.
• Coordinate with Structural Engineers and Consultants to design and certify structures for telecommunications equipment and antennas on new and existing sites.
• Manage internal and external resources in the delivery of Site design.
• Liaise with the Client, SAE and other stakeholders regarding design related matters and ensure technical issues are efficiently resolved.
• Undertake site inspections to determine design works to meet the project objectives.
• Identify potential risks with the design and manage them out of the process as early as possible.
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with Clients to smooth design negotiations.
• Strong reporting and communication skills, including facilitating internal team and client meetings, presentations and engaging with client, staff and consultants
• Ensure design Quality Assurance Procedures are adhered to at all times; and
• Coordinate design input from other disciplines to deliver working drawings
• Deliver in accordance with Project Management Plan, Safety Management Plan and VPL Integrated Management Systems
