Job summary

Ventia is seeking an experienced Field Area Manager to join our Telecommunications team in Sydney, leading field operations, coordinating crews and subcontractors, and delivering projects safely, on time and within budget.

You will drive safety culture, manage resources, schedule work, monitor performance, and build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders across regional sites. Travel to regional and remote locations is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Network Integrity – Asset Relocation Space.
• Experience managing subcontractors and field crews within civil construction or telecommunications.
• Strong knowledge of Telstra networks, DBORs, Netmaps, CMARTS, LAANS, DBYD plans and telecommunications construction standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily field operations and coordinate resources to hit milestones.
• Lead and promote a strong safety culture through toolbox talks and risk assessments.
• Monitor subcontractor and workforce performance to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Develop work schedules and allocate labour, equipment and materials effectively.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors and stakeholders.
• Track progress, report site activities and manage variations and as-built documentation.
