Job summary

Springfield Central State High School is seeking a Teacher Aide (Secondary) to support the Technologies team with practical learning activities across woodwork, metalwork, engineering and design. You will assist with preparing materials, setting up and maintaining equipment, supporting safety practices, and providing individual or small-group support under teacher direction.

This position is a Temporary Part-Time role (0.79FTE), open to Expressions of Interest, with hours totaling about 60 per

Qualifications

• Assist with preparing, organising and delivering technologies learning activities (woodwork, metalwork, engineering and design).
• Help prepare, distribute and store equipment and resources for practical lessons.
• Support materials procurement and ensure resources are available for lessons.
• Promote safe use and storage of technologies equipment and PPE, and assist with safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and small-group support to students as directed by the teacher.
• Assist with class rolls and supervision of students during practical activities.
• Maintain learning spaces and equipment in safe, clean and orderly condition.
• Record observations and support learning progress under supervision.
