Job summary

PwC Australia is seeking a Technology Controls & Assurance Senior Manager to support the Technology Controls & Assurance Director in documenting, assessing and managing technology, security, and data controls across the firm. You will build strong relationships to manage control testing and report on weaknesses and risks in line with the firm’s risk appetite.

You’ll collaborate with control owners, drive improvements, and escalate issues as needed, while guiding IT governance, risk management

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in technology risk, controls, audits/assurance disciplines.
  • In-depth knowledge of audit, assurance, and risk management processes.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders and influence outcomes.
  • Strong reporting skills and ability to present findings clearly.

Responsibilities

  • Take a leading role to ensure technology, security and data controls are well documented, assessed and managed.
  • Collaborate with control owners to identify gaps and drive improvements.
  • Evaluate design and operational effectiveness of internal controls per the Control Assurance Framework.
  • Escalate and report on risks, control weaknesses, incidents and issues outside risk appetite.
  • Drive enhancements to technology controls and assurance frameworks and practices.
  • Provide guidance across IT governance, risk management, controls and assurance.

Whatyou’lldo:
  • Take a leading roleto ensure that technology,securityand data controls are documented, assessed, and managed effectively across the firmandalignedwith the firm’s strategicobjectives.

  • Collaborate with control owners toidentifygaps and drive improvements, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and proactive risk management.

  • Managing and executing the evaluation of design and operational effectiveness of internal controlsin accordance withthe Control Assurance Framework

  • Escalating andreporting onrisks,controlweaknesses,incidentsand issues thatremainunmitigated or outside of risk appetite.

  • Driving enhancements to the Technology controls & assurance frameworks and practices.

  • Providingexpertiseand guidance vertically and horizontally in IT governance, risk management,controlsand assurance.

  • In‑dept knowledge ofaudit, assurance, and risk management processes, along with strong knowledge oftechnology risk, governance, and control frameworks.

  • The ability to communicate effectively with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders towards positive outcomes.
