Job summary

365 Mechanix Pty is looking for a Techno-Functional Consultant to bridge business and technology in Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power Platform, and AI delivery. You will lead workshops, shape requirements, and work hands-on across D365 CE and the Power Platform, applying AI to accelerate delivery and client outcomes.

You will sit with architects, developers and PMs to land live solutions, contribute to pre-sales, and help shape our AI playbook.

Qualifications

• Consulting experience delivering projects for external clients.
• Hands-on D365 CE and Power Platform experience.
• Ability to run meetings and explain tech to non-technical stakeholders.
• Microsoft certifications across Power Platform or Dynamics 365.
• Experience building Copilot Studio agents or live AI solutions.
• Azure integration experience (Logic Apps, Functions, APIs).
• Experience using AI tools to accelerate delivery (Copilot, AI Builder, Azure OpenAI).
• Industry depth in professional services, financial services, government or not-for-profit.

Job description

Half of your brain lives in the discovery workshop. The other half is already building the flow in Power Automate. And somewhere in between, you've got Copilot drafting the design doc while you map the data.

At 365 Mechanix, we are a Microsoft consultancy helping Australian organisations fix genuine business problems with Dynamics 365, Power Platform and AI. We are not interested in AI as a pitch. We're using it to change how projects get delivered: faster discovery, sharper designs, better testing, and solutions where Copilot and AI agents do real work for our clients' people.

We would like to bring in Techno-Functional Consultants who can sit comfortably on both sides of the fence, has done it in a consulting environment, and is genuinely excited about what AI is doing to our industry.

What you'll actually be doing

• Leading client workshops, unpacking messy business processes and turning them into clear, buildable requirements.
• Configuring and extending Dynamics 365 CE and the Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse). Hands on the keyboard, not just writing specs for someone else.
• Putting AI to work in delivery, using Copilot and gen AI tools to speed up requirements, documentation, data mapping and testing
• Building AI into client solutions, Copilot Studio agents, AI Builder and Copilot features that make a measurable difference to how users work.
• Working side by side with architects, developers and project managers to get solutions live and landing well.
• Getting involved in pre-sales, demos, solution shaping and estimates, so you help decide what we build, not just how.
• Helping shape our AI playbook, sharing what works so the whole team delivers smarter.

What we need.

• Consulting experience. This is a must. You've delivered projects for external clients in a Microsoft partner or professional services environment, and you know what it's like to manage scope, timelines and stakeholder expectations at the same time.
• Hands-on D365 CE and/or Power Platform experience across both the functional and technical side
• Client confidence, you can run a room, handle a curly question and explain tech to people who don't care about the tech.
• A problem-solver's instinct, you'd rather find the right answer than the quick one.
• Microsoft certifications across Power Platform or Dynamics 365
• Experience building Copilot Studio agents or custom AI solutions that are live with real users.
• Integration experience with Azure (Logic Apps, Azure Functions, APIs)
• You already use AI tools (Copilot, Copilot Studio, AI Builder, Azure OpenAI, Claude or similar) to deliver faster or better, and you can tell us exactly why and how.
• Industry depth in areas like professional services, financial services, government or not-for-profit
