Job summary

MMG Rosebery in Tasmania is seeking an Underground Maintenance Technician to join the team. The role reports to the Supervisor - Mine Maintenance and operates on a 7:7 roster including night shifts.

The position focuses on maintenance planning, reliability improvements, and safe work practices in a long-standing mining operation. The role requires a trade-qualified heavy diesel fitter/mechanic with experience on mining equipment, a current driver’s license, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Trade qualified heavy diesel fitter/mechanic
• Unwavering commitment to safe work practices, a team player
• Experience diagnosing faults and repairing equipment according to OEM specifications
• Experience in service and maintenance of AD60 & 55B trucks, R2900 loaders, Sandvik Jumbos and Cable bolter, Atlas Copco Simba and Cable Tec
• A current driver’s license
• Competency working with computers and Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

• Conduct activities in line with the weekly maintenance schedules in order to achieve a baseline compliance
• Through the process of conducting maintenance activities, identify opportunities to improve site-wide reliability of mobile and fixed assets
• Support and improve the reliability and availability of mobile and fixed plant assets by participating in programs to identify root cause of failures and the implementation of improvements.
• Assist in the development of requirements and specifications for work plans and schedules.
• Fostering a culture of safe work practices and good housekeeping

Underground Maintenance Technician

We currently have a great career opportunity for an experienced Underground Maintenance Technician to join our team at Rosebery in Tasmania. These positions will report into the Supervisor - Mine Maintenance and offered on a 7:7 roster including night shift.
