Job summary

MMG Limited's Rosebery Operations seeks a confident Supervisor - Mining to lead underground crews and drive safety, production, and crew performance. Reporting to the Mining Superintendent, you will set the tone for high-quality safety standards and ensure compliance with mining laws.

You will oversee day-to-day operations, collaborate with training and technical services, and coach a team to perform under pressure while looking out for one another.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months supervisory experience in underground mining.
• Strong understanding of relevant Mine legislation.
• Proven experience in leading a team.
• Understanding of OH&S and HR/IR Principles.
• Self-motivated, forward thinker with exceptional organisational skills.
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
• Ability to positively influence and coach towards desired behaviour and attitudes of direct reports.
• A proven history with safe work practises, with the ability to identify and address unsafe practices and lead by example.

Supervisor - Mining

Our Rosebery Operations is powered by precision, teamwork and uncompromising safety. We’re seeking a confident and capable Supervisor - Mining to lead underground crews in our underground mining operations — someone who thrives where leadership matters most.

Reporting to the Mining Superintendent, your role would be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations as planned for underground mining. This is more than coordinating a shift. It’s about setting the tone for high quality safety standards in line with statutory obligations, driving production outcomes, and building a crew that performs under pressure while looking out for one another.

It also ensures that the mine operations team is adequately supervised while working closely with our training and technical services department.

About You

To be successful, you will have an unwavering commitment to safe work practices, and MUST be able to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen, along with the following:

• Strong experience in an underground mining environment with a minimum of 12 months supervisory experience
• Strong understanding of relevant Mine legislation
• Proven experience in leading a team
• Understanding of OH&S and HR/IR Principles
• Self-motivated, forward thinker with exceptional organisational skills
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal
• Ability to positively influence and coach towards desired behaviour and attitudes of direct reports
