Employer Sponsored Jobs in Adelaide is seeking two qualified Diesel Mechanic / Trailer Mechanic to join our expanding workshop. You will maintain heavy diesel trucks and trailers, diagnose faults, service schedules, and ensure NHVR compliance while recording maintenance logs.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic or equivalent.
• Experience on heavy vehicles and trailers.
• Strong diagnostics and fault-finding skills.
• Experience maintaining trailers and air brake systems.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• HC/MC driver's licence is an advantage.
• Solid work ethic and safety commitment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, service and repair the fleet of heavy diesel trucks and semi-trailers.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, braking and suspension faults and perform repairs.
• Deliver scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance.
• Repair air brake systems, axles, wheel bearings and trailer components.
• Conduct NHVR safety inspections and record each job in maintenance logs.

An Adelaide logistics business needs two qualified tradespeople for its expanding workshop: a pair of permanent, full-time Diesel Mechanic / Trailer Mechanic positions. The employer wants self-motivated, dependable mechanics who keep its trucks and semi-trailers safe, efficient and earning.

This employer offers 482 visa sponsorship for the right, eligible candidate, and is open to applications from mechanics based in Australia or overseas who meet the relevant visa requirements.

What the business needs most is someone who can diagnose faults quickly, look after air brake systems and trailer running gear, complete NHVR inspections and record every job properly.

• Maintain, service and repair the fleet of heavy diesel trucks and semi-trailers
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, braking and suspension faults and complete the repairs
• Deliver scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance
• Repair air brake systems, axles, wheel bearings, landing legs and trailer components
• Conduct safety inspections that meet NHVR compliance and record each job in maintenance records and reports
• Balance efficient work with high-quality workmanship

• A trade qualification as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic, or equivalent
• Previous work on heavy vehicles and trailers
• Strong skills in diagnostics and fault-finding
• Experience maintaining trailers and air brake systems
• Able to work both independently and in a team
