Gold Fields Group Services (Pty) Ltd is seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to perform preventative maintenance on fixed plant infrastructure at Gruyere. The role operates on a FIFO roster from Perth, with 4 roster cycles of 8 days on 6 days off and 1 cycle of 7 nights on 7 days off.

Responsibilities include completing SAP entries, maintaining safety standards, and keeping a tidy workshop while supporting safe and reliable processing plant operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in fixed plant maintenance within a processing plant environment.
• Trade qualification in mechanical fitting.
• Must hold WA C Manual Driver’s Licence and the listed tickets (CN, Dogging, Rigging, EWP, WAH, Confined Space, Forklift).

Responsabilités

• Provide quality and timely preventative mechanical maintenance and repairs of Fixed Plant infrastructure and facilities.
• Deliver planned preventative maintenance to support safe and efficient operations.
• Complete day-to-day SAP entries including parts requests and closure of work orders.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised workshop and work areas.

Reporting to the Mechanical Supervisor at Gruyere, you will be responsible for providing quality and timely preventative mechanical maintenance and repairs of the Fixed Plant infrastructure, facilities and other areas of the operation.

This role will work 4 roster cycles of 8 days on 6 days off and 1 roster cycle of 7 nights on 7 days off roster and is Fly in Fly out from Perth.

In this role, you’ll play a key part in contributing to the safe and efficient operations of the Processing Plant by delivering planned preventative maintenance in a safe and effective manner, supporting the achievement of maintenance targets.

You’ll maintain strong understanding of site procedures and work instructions, completion of all safety requirements and ensure the completion of day to day SAP entries including parts requests and accurate closure of work orders. You’ll take pride in maintaining a clean, well organised workshop and work areas, contributing to a safe and professional work environment

About you:

You will bring previous fixed plant maintenance experience within a processing plant environment, along with a recognised mechanical fitting trade qualification. You’ll have a strong understanding of maintenance best practice, and the knowledge and skills to ensure our process plant is running safely and reliably. A practical, safety focused approach, together with a sense of pride in the quality of your work will be required.
You will hold a current WA C Manual Driver’s License, CN crane, Dogging, Basic rigging, EWP, WAH, Confined Space and forklift tickets.
