Job summary

Cummins Inc. in Carole Park, QLD, is seeking a talented Diesel Technician to join our high performing team.

You will complete repairs and rebuilds on engine products across all market segments (predominantly automotive) in a service workshop under supervision. To be successful you will have mechanical trades qualification as a Heavy or Light Vehicle Mechanic to Australian standards and experience with Diesel Engines, Power Generation and on-highway truck work.

Qualifications

• Must be qualified as a Heavy or Light Vehicle Mechanic to Australian standards.
• Experience with Diesel Engines, Power Generation, On Highway Truck, Construction or Agriculture preferable.
• Diagnostic and problem-solving capabilities.
• Be a team player and adhere to Cummins Policies.
• Adhere to Health, Safety & Environmental policies and report issues.

Responsibilities

Job description

You Will Make An Impact In The Following Ways

• Complete repairs and maintenance of heavy diesel products
• Diagnose and repair engines
• Disassemble, inspect, and clean engines and /or engine components
• Engine rebuilding and reconditioning
• Maintain work area and tools for cleanliness and proper operation
• Assist with completion required documentation, such as work completed documentation, time sheets, warranty claims and quality forms, via handwritten forms or business system input screens
• Ensure adherence to all relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to their supervisor

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

• Mechanical trades qualified as a Heavy or Light Vehicle Mechanic (to Australian standards)
• Previous repairs and maintenance experience with Diesel Engines, Power Generation, On Highway Truck, Construction or Agriculture desirable but not essential.
• Diagnostic and problem-solving capabilities
• Be a team player & be prepared to adhere to Cummins Policies
• Ensure adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures, and legislation, reporting any issues / incidents to shift supervisors
