• Initial assignment through to end June 2027

Green Light are assisting in delivering projects for an industry leading organisation and have a for a Technical Writer (NV2) to join our delivery team.

The Technical Writer (NV2) will have experience in developing technical documentation templates that leverage industry leading standards, work autonomously to review and develop new and existing document artefacts, and be able to engage with business and technology stakeholders to document business requirements and technical solution designs.

This role does require an active AGSVA NV2 clearance at a minimum. Consultants that do not hold this minimum requirement will not be considered.

This requirement is 100% onsite based in Canberra.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, develop, organize, write and edit operational procedures and manuals.
• Research, develop and document technical design specifications and test scripts.
• Produce electronic documentation in addition to hard copy manuals.
• Maintain a comprehensive library of technical terminology and documentation.
• Analyse documents to maintain continuity of style of content.

Requirements:

• Demonstrated 5 years minimum experience as a Technical Writer developing and publishing documentation on multiple complex software development projects.
• Prior experience in establishing best practice documentation standards for complex software development projects.
• Ability to work proactively to research and collaborate with established delivery teams and project stakeholders to illicit the information.
• Ability to understand complex technical solutions and designs and translate this information into documentation and artefacts.
• High standard for attention to detail and ensuring accuracy in spelling, grammar, and formatting of documentation.
• Prior knowledge and experience using Confluence.
