Job summary

Glencore Australia’s Murrin Murrin Operations is seeking an experienced Technical Writer to join the HR training team on site. The role focuses on reviewing and refining existing documentation, clarifying needs with SMEs and internal stakeholders, and developing high-quality training materials and user guides.

You will ensure health, safety and environmental compliance, maintain version control, and keep training curriculums current with licences and subject matter.

Qualifications

• Advanced diploma or higher in a technical/scientific field with hands-on design/methods experience.
• 3+ years in a design/methods office or similar role.
• Comprehensive knowledge of vocational training legislation.
• Strong project management capabilities.
• Proficient with MS Office and knowledge of integrated management systems.

Responsibilities

Murrin Murrin Operations has an opportunity for an experienced Technical Writer to join our established and dedicated Human Resources training team based on site at Murrin Murrin Operations.

Murrin Murrin Operations is Australia's largest cobalt producer and a major world producer of nickel. Our Murrin Murrin site in WA's northern Goldfields is an integrated nickel and cobalt mining and processing operation employing over 1,000 people. The Role

The successful person will become a member of a hardworking and committed team who are responsible for the reviewing and refining existing documentation, identifying areas requiring clarification and addressing needs as they arise, and gathering information from trainers, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and internal stakeholders.

The Technical Writer develops high-quality training materials, technical documents, work instructions, and user guides to enhance workforce capability and knowledge.

You will be responsible for:

• Developing content to be utilised across multiple channels.
• Interpreting and clarifying technical content information copy to deliver engaging, accurate and compliant technical content/documentation.
• Maintaining a high level of health, safety and environmental awareness and compliance with all relevant policies and procedures.

• Maintaining currency in all training: work licences and other subject matter

About You

This role would suit a technically competent and driven professional communicator skilled in training and knowledge transfer ideally looking for a new challenge in our multifaceted processing plant.

You will also have:

• Advanced diploma in a technical or scientific field with at least 3 years of professional experience in a design/methods office or Graduate diploma/master's degree in a technical or scientific field
• Comprehensive knowledge of vocational training legislation
• Strong project management capabilities
• Proficient in computer skills, including the use of integrated management systems, word processing, presentation, and spreadsheet applications
• Ability to deliver training and effectively engage groups in learning
• A current & valid C class manual driver's licence
