Job summary

Airservices Australia in Melbourne or Brisbane invites experienced Technical Training Instructors to join the national Technical Training team. You will develop, maintain and deliver competency-based training across classroom, virtual and blended environments.

Working with technical subject matter experts and operators, you will coach learners, review materials, and ensure regulatory and organisational compliance while contributing to ongoing capability development.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in engineering, technology or related field.
• TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or willingness to obtain.
• Experience in regulated or safety-critical environments.
• Ability to deliver across face-to-face, virtual and blended learning.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

As we continue to invest in our people, technology and capability, we're seeking experienced Technical Training Instructors to join our national Technical Training team.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Technical Training Lead, and based in either Melbourne or Brisbane you will play a key role in building and maintaining capability across Airservices' technology and engineering workforce.

Working closely with technical subject matter experts and operational stakeholders, you will develop, maintain and deliver training programs that support operational excellence, regulatory compliance and the ongoing development of our people working across a range of technical environments and job roles.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering competency-based technical training and assessment across classroom, virtual and blended learning environments.
• Supporting the development, review and continuous improvement of training materials and learning solutions.
• Coaching, mentoring and assessing learners throughout their development journey.
• Partnering with technical stakeholders to identify capability needs and support learning outcomes.
• Maintaining training records and ensuring compliance with regulatory and organisational requirements.
• Contributing to the ongoing improvement of training programs, delivery methods and learner experiences.

About You

You are an experienced trainer, instructor or technical specialist with a passion for developing capability and helping others succeed.

You will bring:

• Demonstrated technical expertise in one or more of the following areas: Voice, Radio and Data Communications, Radio Navigation Aids, Radio Surveillance Systems, Air Traffic Management, or other complex technology and information systems environments.
• A Diploma-level qualification (or higher) in a relevant engineering, technology or related discipline.
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122) or equivalent qualification, or a willingness to obtain.
• Experience working within regulated, operational or safety-critical environments.
• Proven ability to deliver and assess training across face-to-face, virtual and blended learning environments.
• Strong communication, facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills.
• A collaborative approach and commitment to safety, continuous improvement and Airservices' values.
