Technical Trainer - Production & Assembly

Rheinmetall Defence Australia – Redbank QLD

The Technical Trainer is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering training for the Production workforce. In this role, you will create lesson plans, training materials, and qualification pathways that support production requirements. You will perform training needs analysis across the production environment and identify training gaps to be addressed. You will ensure all training aligns with relevant training packages and meets competency standards.

This position also involves developing training resources and conducting training sessions in support of the broader training team with day‑to‑day training activities and continuous improvement initiatives.

As a Technical Trainer, you can anticipate some of your day-to-day tasks to include:

• Audit and update Training Plans and ensure compliance across production;
• Provide subject matter expert advice on all aspects of technical production training;
• Conduct practical, on-the-job training and guidance for new hires and existing staff;
• Conduct needs and gap analysis to identify and address shortfalls in production operator training; and

We are seeking an experienced Technical Trainer - Mechanical to support capability development within our manufacturing operations. This role is ideal for a mechanically qualified professional who enjoys sharing knowledge, developing people and improving technical and safety standards on the shop floor.

• Trade qualified mechanical fitter or similar;
• Experience training, mentoring, or coaching trades or operators;
• TAE40122 (Cert IV TAE) or willingness to obtain;
• Strong communication skills and safety-first mindset; and
• Ability to travel internationally and interstate, when required; and
• Eligibility to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance (Australian Citizenship required).
