Job summary

Ford Motor Company in Melbourne is seeking a Technical Trainer to deliver Curriculum training, New Model Training and Performance Improvement courses to Ford Technicians across Australia and NZ. You will support Dealers with Training Plans, review materials, and provide in-depth instruction on Ford vehicle systems.

Ideal candidates will have Ford Master Technician or equivalent training, strong diagnostics, and the ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining learner records in the LMS.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering automotive training.
• Ability to review and update technical training materials.
• Full Australian Driver's Licence is required.
• Ford training or Ford vehicle systems experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Curriculum, NMT, and Performance Improvement training across Australia and NZ (AU/NZ).
• Review training materials and adjust content to maintain high quality.
• Prepare classrooms, teaching aids, tools, equipment, and training vehicles.
• Provide in-depth instruction on Ford vehicle systems, engines, transmissions, electricals and chassis.
• Update attendance and learner records in the LMS (STARS).
• Support Technical Training Supervisor and SEO Manager to meet targets.
• Build relationships with Technicians and Dealers.

Job description

As a Technical Trainer based in Melbourne you will be responsible for delivering Curriculum training, New Model Training (NMT), and Performance Improvement training to Ford Technicians across our Dealership network. You will assist Dealers with Technical Training Plans for Technicians, help review technical training and course materials, provide in-depth instruction to technicians on Ford vehicle systems, and overall support the Technical Training program to meet training requirements and targets.

• Deliver Technical Training, Curriculum training, New Model Training (NMT), and Performance Improvement training across Australia and NZ.
• Deliver FRTFT courses in support of net Promoter Score (NPS) targets.
• Review technical training materials and market relevant adjustments to retain a high quality of technical training course material.
• Prepare training classrooms and work bay readiness before conducting classroom training, including preparation of teaching aids, tools and equipment, training vehicles, and administrative tasks.
• Provide in-depth instructions to technician on Ford vehicle systems, components, and technologies, including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, and steering by following IMG curriculum.
• Conduct hands-on demonstrations and practical exercises to reinforce technician knowledge of Ford vehicles.
• Update training attendance and student completion details to ensure the training history data and learner records can be updated in the Learning Management System (STARS) and are up-to-date and accurate.
• Support the Technical Training Supervisor and FOA/FNZ SEO Manager(s) to meet Technical Training requirements and targets and to implement new initiatives.
• A Training certification and/or previous experience/roles in the Technical Training arena.
• Proficiency in using automotive diagnostic tools, software, and equipment, with the ability to demonstrate proper operation and troubleshooting techniques.
• Full Australian Drivers License.

• Ability to maintain positive attitude and influence the team culture when faced with changing customer requirements.

• Strong project planning skills, with ability to stay organized while managing multiple project components and programs.
