ASC Pty Ltd in Henderson, WA, is seeking a Technical Trade Trainer (Mechanical Fitter) to deliver and develop technical trade training for Mechanical Apprentices and Tradespeople. You will report to the Technical Training Manager, develop training packages, and assess skills development while ensuring ASC standards are met.

Ideal candidates will have 10+ years of trade experience, a Mechanical Trade Cert 3, strong mentoring abilities, and excellent communication skills; TAE40116 Cert IV

Qualifications

• Must hold Mechanical Trade Cert 3.
• TAE40116 Cert IV desirable or obtainable within first year.
• Minimum 10 years trade experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience supervising training groups and apprentices.
• Strong teamwork and mentoring abilities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and develop technical trade training for Mechanical Apprentices and Tradespeople.
• Develop training packages and training aids within ASC requirements.
• Accurately assess and report on Apprentices and Trade skills development.

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a Technical Trade Trainer (Mechanical Fitter) to join our team in Henderson WA. As our Technical Trade Trainer, you will deliver and develop technical trade training for our Mechanical Apprentices and Mechanical Tradespeople.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Technical Training Manager, you will be responsible for delivery of approved training in accordance and required standards of ASC, developing training packages & training aids within the ASC requirements, accurate assessing and reporting on Apprentices & Trade skills development, and conducting skills matrix assessments.

About you

To be successful as a Technical Trade Trainer at ASC you will have:

• Mechanical Trade Cert 3.
• Minimum 10 years trade experience.
• Passion for learning, motivating, supporting, and influencing others.
• Good computer literacy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience supervising training groups and individuals including apprentices.
• Strong teamwork attributes with ability to help motivate, influence and support others.
• TAE (currently TAE40116 Cert IV); desirable, or to obtain within first year.
• Experience in Defence Industry/Shipbuilding Industry is highly desirable.

Eligibility

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
