Job summary

The Joint Accreditation System of Australia and New Zealand (JASANZ) seeks a Technical Specialist – Food & Biologicals to join Accreditation Delivery in Canberra. You will apply sector expertise to strengthen confidence in certification outcomes across Australia, New Zealand and international markets.

This role focuses on the food and biological sectors, with opportunities to contribute to accreditation activities in other sectors, and to support integrity of domestic and international

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of food and biological certification schemes.
• Experience conducting accreditation assessments or audits.
• Ability to interpret international standards and apply them to schemes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to accreditation assessment activities for food and biological schemes.
• Interpret and apply standards such as ISO/IEC 17021-1 and related ISO/IEC norms.
• Provide expert technical guidance to internal and external stakeholders.
• Maintain current knowledge of certification schemes and participate in industry events.
