Job summary

Australian Catholic University (ACU) is seeking a part-time Technical Services Officer, Simulation at the Melbourne campus. You will support daily operations, prepare, set up and reset learning activities, maintain equipment and ensure WHS compliance in learning environments, working with the Technical Services team and academics.

The role is 28 hours per week (4 days) with pro rata remuneration, offering attractive benefits including 17% employer superannuation and flexible leave provisions.

About The Role

Operating within Technical Services, the Technical Services Officer, Simulation supports the daily operations of ACU's Technical Services, provides high quality laboratory and technical services, and ensures university expectations are consistently met for the Faculty of Health Sciences learning environments. Working closely with the Technical Service team and academics, the position will be responsible for preparing, set up and resetting of learning and teaching activities, maintaining equipment and facilities, and managing compliance and risk management in line with work health and safety requirements to ensure environments are safe, functional and fit for purpose. The Technical Services Officer may also have responsibility for coordinating the Technical Assistants.

• Total remuneration valued to $101,464 - $109,838 total rem (pro rata) pa, including salary component $85,739 - $92,815 (pro rata) pa (HEW 5), employer contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.

• Annual leave loading of an equivalent to 17.5% of four weeks' salary pro rata payable, dependent on your commencement date.
