Southern Smash Supplies in Western Sydney is seeking a Technical Sales Representative to expand our automotive refinishing customer base across Western Sydney. You'll engage with smash repairers, panel shops, spray painters and workshop owners to understand their needs and provide practical technical solutions that boost productivity and finish quality.

Promote Lesonal Solvent and Sikkens Optima Waterborne, deliver product demos, and develop a strong network with decision-makers.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of automotive refinishing or smash repair is essential.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Proven ability to develop and manage a sales territory.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage customer relationships throughout Western Sydney.
• Identify new business opportunities within the smash repair and automotive refinishing industry.

Join a Growing Automotive Refinishing Business

Southern Smash Supplies is looking for an experienced and motivated Technical Sales Representative to join our team and develop our growing customer base across Western Sydney.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in automotive refinishing, smash repair, paint, or technical sales who wants to take the next step in their career.

You’ll be representing and supporting the rollout of two exciting product ranges:

Lesonal Solvent – a high-quality solvent-based refinishing system

Your role will be much more than simply taking orders. You’ll work directly with smash repairers, panel shops, spray painters and workshop owners to understand their businesses, identify opportunities and provide technical solutions that improve productivity, finish quality and profitability.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Develop and manage customer relationships throughout Western Sydney
• Identify new business opportunities within the smash repair and automotive refinishing industry
• Introduce and promote the Sikkens Optima Waterborne and Lesonal Solvent systems
• Conduct product demonstrations and technical presentations
• Work alongside spray painters and workshop owners to understand their requirements
• Assist customers with product selection, application and technical queries
• Identify opportunities to convert customers from competing paint systems
• Build long-term relationships with key decision-makers
• Follow up leads and develop new accounts
• Work closely with our internal team to ensure customers receive excellent service and support
• Keep up to date with new products, technology and developments within the automotive refinishing industry

Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who understands the automotive refinishing industry and is confident dealing with people at all levels.

You may currently be working as a:

• Refinishing technician
• Automotive paint representative
• Technical sales representative
• Automotive parts or paint sales professional

Industry experience is highly valued, but we’re also interested in people with strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills and the drive to succeed.
