Job summary

Jetstar CAMO Engineering Services is seeking a Technical Records Officer to join our busy team. The role focuses on accurate maintenance records, data integrity, and regulatory compliance within a 4 on 4 off shift pattern.

You will work autonomously and as part of a high‑performing team, processing logs, leveraging TRAX/MIS, and collaborating with the Team Leader to drive continuous improvement and safe operation of the fleet.

Qualifications

• Experience in Technical Records processing within aviation.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and related software.
• Strong customer service skills to resolve issues.
• Database maintenance and data tracking experience.
• Familiarity with TRAX or similar MIS is highly regarded.
• Able to work a rotating 4-on-4-off shift (11-hour shifts).

Responsibilities

• Process Technical Logs and Aircraft Utilisation daily.
• Assist Team Leader with data collation for reports.
• Provide feedback to improve processes and efficiency.
• Perform internal QA audits of maintenance data in TRAX.
• Escalate issues affecting component changes or compliance.
• Monitor Pending Technical Records and expedite changes within KPI.
• Ensure safety and regulatory targets are met.
• Be a Safety Leader within CAMO.

The Opportunity

Join the Jetstar CAMO Engineering Services team. This challengingTechnical Records Officerrole will highlight your attention to detail, highly developed analytical, and communication competence. Your motivation to work autonomously and within a group, will ensure your success in this high performing team.

We are seeking a bright and down to earth individual to join our team, in this 4 on 4 off shift rostered role. As a Technical Records Officer, you will have a strong ability to focus on detail and procedures supported by excellent communication and prioritisation skills. This is a challenging position, where the ability to work autonomously, and within a team is essential.

Reporting to the Technical Records Team Leader, key duties and responsibilities will include:

• Ensure Technical Logs and all Aircraft Utilisation are processed daily
• Assist the Team Leader in collating data for reports as required and identifying process improvement opportunities
• Provide feedback to the Team Leader on process gaps, system issues, and opportunities for improvement to support continuous enhancement of operational efficiency.
• Perform regular internal QA audits of maintenance data entered into TRAX
• Escalate complex issues which impact on the completion of component changes or compliance
• Monitor the Pending Technical Records report and ensure component changes are expedited within the required 7-day KPI
• Ensure all safety and regulatory compliance targets are achieved
• Be a Safety Leader within Jetstar’s CAMO
• Ensure compliance with safe working practices

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the following skills & experience:

• Experience in Technical Records processing within aviation.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft suite or software solutions
• Proven customer service skills – capable of identifying customer needs and resolving customer issues.
• Database maintenance and data tracking experience
• Experience with TRAX or a similar Maintenance Information System (MIS) is highly regarded
• An ability to work a rotating 4 on 4 off shift pattern (11 hour shifts including nights)
