OLG Office is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead commercial furniture and fit-out projects from handover through installation and post-delivery feedback. You will manage a high volume of live projects (70+) at different stages, coordinating drawing sign-offs, orders, freight, and installers while keeping customers informed and ensuring first-time accuracy.
The role reports to the Projects Technical Lead and involves close collaboration with the Drawing team, Purchasing,
Since our humble beginnings in 1987, OLG has grown into a trusted name in Australian commercial furniture. We supply thoughtful, independently tested workspace furniture through a loyal network of resellers, project and corporate partners. Our products are easy to install and backed by warranty. You’ll find our furniture in Government, Corporate, Education and Healthcare spaces across Australia.
We’re headquartered in our modern, purpose‑built office and warehouse in Marsden Park, Sydney, with a supporting team in the Philippines. Everything we do is guided by three values:
Partner Obsessed: we follow through on our commitments to partners and to each other
Performance Driven: we take accountability for results, not excuses
Value Creators: we solve the root cause, not just the symptom
About the role
As one of our Project Managers, you’ll take commercial furniture projects from the moment Sales hands them over through to the feedback call after install. On any given day you might confirm a two‑desk order, check drawings for a 100‑seat workspace and brief installers for next week’s site.
This is a hands‑on delivery role for someone who takes pride in getting it right first time. You’ll manage a high volume of live projects (70+) at different stages. It suits a natural planner who enjoys structure, works days and weeks ahead, and keeps customers informed so they never have to chase.
You’ll report to our Projects Technical Lead. You’ll work closely with our Technical Drawing team, Purchasing, the workshop and warehouse, freight carriers, installers, resellers and end users.
What you’ll do
Take project handover from Sales, checking quotes, drawings, site details and required dates before accepting
Acknowledge orders promptly and confirm all key dates with the customer within 48 hours
Run kick‑off calls on larger ($20k+) and custom orders to set clear expectations
Coordinate drawings with our Technical Drawing team, including client sign‑off on custom work
Work with Purchasing on local and indent supply, and raise accurate works orders and cut lists
Complete readiness checks on drawings, stock and kit 72 hours before production and dispatch
Schedule freight and installers, brief them on site requirements and keep split deliveries to a minimum
Send weekly status updates and daily install progress photos, and communicate any change within 24 hours
Log and own customer issues through to resolution, including our ISO non‑conformance process
Close out each project with a feedback call, completion photos and a review of quoted versus actual margin
About you
You’re organised, calm under pressure and care about the customer experience. You’ll bring:
Free on‑site parking at our purpose‑built Marsden Park facility.
Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for confidential support for you and your family.
Structure that sets you up to succeed. Documented processes, clear SLAs, defined decision‑making authority and modern tools, including an AI‑assisted daily peer review that catches issues before they reach site.
A team that has your back. Our PMs are cross trained on each other’s projects, so leave is real leave and no one carries a project alone.
Keep growing. Fortnightly product training and a PM skills matrix help you build your expertise.
See your work come to life. You’ll deliver everything from single workstations to complete workplace fit outs.
Stability and culture. We’re an established Australian business with nearly 40 years in the industry and a collaborative, supportive team.
You’re a detail‑driven project professional who wants to deliver work you’re proud of, with a team that does things properly. We’d love to hear from you.
Additional requirements
Full working rights in Australia
Full‑time (38–40 hours per week), on‑site at our Marsden Park head office
Commitment to our WHS requirements, including site inductions and PPE in the warehouse and on customer sites
