Job summary

Pelleton Renewables is hiring a Technical Project Development Lead for Brisbane / SE Queensland. This hybrid, full-time role owns projects from feasibility to commissioning, coordinating with process engineering and EPC partners to deliver Viable projects.

You will work with industrial customers to translate complex opportunities into defined solutions. You will report to the CEO in a small, international team and contribute to growing the company’s footprint in bioenergy and waste-to-energy

Qualifications

• 8–15 years in project development, project engineering, solutions engineering, or industrial project delivery.
• Confidence with process flows, mass and energy balances and project economics.
• Background in bioenergy, wastewater, meat/food processing, resource recovery, process equipment or EPC/EPCM.

Responsibilities

• Techno-economic project development: assess sites, waste streams and energy needs; lead feasibility studies.
• Engineering collaboration & governance: turn customer constraints into technical scopes; work with Process and Design Engineering and Design Authority.
• EPC & execution interface: be the customer's main contact during execution and manage the interface with EPC partners through to commissioning.
• Team, contractor & supplier coordination: build and manage the supplier ecosystem behind our technical solution.
• Market development: grow our position in meat processing, water and waste utilities, and agriculture.

Education

Engineering degree (Chemical, Mechanical, Environmental or Civil preferred)

Job description

We're hiring: Technical Project Development Lead | Brisbane / SE Queensland | Full-time | Hybrid

Pelleton Renewables turns high-moisture biowaste into renewable energy products. Our technology has been proven at laboratory and demonstration scale, and we are now building our first commercial reference projects in Australia.

We're looking for an engineer who wants to own projects from start to finish, without handing customers between separate sales, engineering and delivery teams.

This is a project development role, not a sales role. You will work with industrial customers to turn technically complex opportunities into well-defined, viable projects.

What you'll do:

• Techno-economic project development (40%): assess customer sites, waste streams and energy needs; lead feasibility studies, business cases and CAPEX/OPEX models
• Engineering collaboration & governance (25%): turn customer constraints into clear technical scopes; work with our Process and Design Engineering team and Design Authority
• EPC & execution interface (20%): be the customer's main contact during execution and manage the interface with our EPC partners through to commissioning
• Team, contractor & supplier coordination (10%): build and manage the supplier ecosystem behind our technical solution
• Market development (5%): grow our position in meat processing, water and waste utilities, and agriculture

What you bring:
